Feb 7th 2012 - Ladies Football/Camogie EGM - Future of Camogie in Passage GAA
Written by AdministratorVery disappointed with the turn out at our Ladies Football/Camogie AGM last week. With over 100 girls playing football/camogie only 16 people in total showed up. This shows that either people have no interest in their local club or just too busy to attend. It has come to this, where we need to have an EGM on Feb 7th at 8pm in the club to decide if the club is going to have a Camogie section this coming season. We are asking all members and parents to attend to see what we can do together. The club has grown so much that we can not run it with the small amount of help that we have or without the commitment from the players. It would be a shame if Camogie was lost from the club after all we have achieved in a short space of time. We are asking people to help us in some way - eg. paperwork, registration, fundraising, supervising training (volunteer for 1hr a week only). We also need to confirm the interest from girls who want to play camogie for Passage so that we can decide on how to move this forward
Hope to see and hear from you our concerned Members and Parents.
Your Chairman of Ladies Football/Camogie club
Francis McEveney

Oct 31 2011 - Passage Ladies play on Cork U15 Development Squad
Written by AdministratorA big congratulations to Passage Ladies Footballer's Emma Harrington, Grainne Quirke, Sophie Collins, Cliona Dermody, Louise Walsh, and Niamh Santry who represented Cork at the recent U15 Development Blitz against Waterford in Dungarvan. The 6 girls took part in 3 matches and all of them perfomed superbly despite the horendous weather conditions and a strong, physical Waterford squad. Well done also to the families who travelled in support of the girls. Keep up the good work ladies as you continue to do yourselves, your families, and your club proud. Pasaiste Abu
A big congratulations to Aoife O'Flynn from all at Passage GAA Club. Aoife has been attending the Cork U13 School of Excellence at CIT for the past few weeks under the watchful eye of Charlie McLoughlin. The training and performance that Aoife has put in brought her to taking part in an Inter County Blitz today where she got to officially wear the Cork jersey. Aoife played on the Cork team which played Tipperary over a number of games at CIT and played extremely well - as usual. Keep it going Aoife - we are all very proud to have one of our girls representing our County.
Photos from the Passage West Girls u8 and u10 Blitz in September - Part 1
Written by AdministratorOn September 17th the Passage club hosted a girls u8 and u10 mini-blitz. Mini may not be the correct term as there were 36 teams involved. The report of the day can be viewed here on the club site, but this is just to showcase the activity of the day. Thansk to Joe Madden for the wonderful photos
