This game featured a hat trick of goals for star forward Marc Howard in the 2nd, 8th, and 32nd minutes. Marc also contributed 3 points to his overall tally. Passage played with a strong breeze in the first half and found St Vincents 2 man forward line a handful, but a tactical move by the selectors in swapping center back, Daniel Howard, and full back, Ricky Higgins, in the second half worked the oracals as both players dominated their respective positions. Veteran sub, Robert Coughlan, broke Vincents’ hearts with a brilliant double to the net in injury time. This was followed by a superb point from young forward Ryan Carroll. Other players to score were Shane Howard with a point after 11 minutes, Donagh Long with a point after 18 minutes, and two great points from the right wing by Eric Kennefick just before half time. Johnny O’Byrne took a good point in the 28th minute of the second half. At the final whistle the score line read Passage 4-09 to St Vincents 2-13. Passage play Blackrock next Thursday, April 28th in Passage at 7pm.

April 21st 2011 - Junior A Hurling Vs St Vincents
Written by Michael O'MahonyPassage Junior A Hurlers came away from Knocknaheeny with a richly deserved snatch and grab victory over St Vincents. Passage, after a poor performance against Nemo Rangers last Tuesday, raised their game against a team which many fancy for the City title.
