Feb 14th 2912 - Minor Football Vs Fermoy

Well done to the minors tonight with a hard fought draw away to Fermoy. 0-6 all at half time facing into a strong wind on a huge pitch but the players put in a tremendous second half performance that saw them unlucky not to come away with the win. The ref awarded a harsh free to Fermoy in front of the posts which brought them level 0-9 each with almost the last kick of the game. A big thanks to those who provided transport and to the supporters who travelled to the match.

Nov 26th 2011 - U15 Football Championship Final

Today's match was played in a gale force wind and it was always going to be the proverbial game of two halves. Unfortunately Passage lost the toss and had to play with the wind in the first half. After 15 minutes, with no score from either side, Anthony Kidney opened the scoring with a free. Passage drove on with another Kidney free and a free from Dara Murphy. After a superb team move, Ross McMahon scored a great goal and Dara Murphy scored a great point from way out on the wing. Blarney finished the half wih a point to make it 1-04 to a point at half time.

Poor weather conditions before this match meant that a spectacular game of football was unlikely and that a dogfight would ensue instead. But in the end this game provided everything, with some superb fielding, point taking, and interplay on display from both teams and a tough uncompromising contest on top of that.

Sciath na Scol 2011 - Best Wishes

All at Passage GAA would like to wish our boys and girls who will represent their schools, Star of the Sea and Scoil Barra Monkstown, in the upcoming Sciath na Scol finals in Pairc Uí Rinn the very best of luck. Its the 4th year in a row that the Star of the Sea girls have qualified for the final and the second year in a row that the school have both boys and girls reaching the final stages. This is a great achievment for both schools, the club, and the players who worked so hard to qualify for the finals.

Passage began slowly, allowing Youghal a head start of 3 points. Two pointed frees by Anto Kidney brought Passage into the game, but a youghal goal shortly afterwards gave us an uphill battle. at 1-5 to 2 points down it looked like it was going to be one of those bad nights for Passage, but a great point from Cian Power and a Kidney cracker of a goal brought us to half time 1-7 to 1-4 behind.

Sept 17th 2011 - U12 Ladies Football County Champions

The Passage under 12s girls travelled to Mayfield to play Bride Rovers in the County Final. This was a fabulous game of football - well maybe not for some of the big crowd who attended from all sections of the Passage GAA club and the community because by the end of the game many of them had no finger nails left such was the closeness of this clash.
