Bishopstwon then started to dominate proceedings but failed to show this on the scoreboard. They kicked 5 wides in the next 10 minutes before scoring 2 points within a minute. The Passage management team reshuffled some key positions and this had the desired effect. Within 5 minutes Passage were level 2 more points from Kevin O'Brien. Bishopstown responded well and scored 1-3 without reply and only for the heroics of Passage goalkeeper Damien Coleman would have been further ahead. Passage finished the half on the attack and added 2 more points before the half time whistle. Seamus Forde and hotshot Kevin O'Brien the scorers. 4 points down at the break Passage had a mountain to climb to get back into the match. Within 10 minutes of the restart Passage were level after a well taken goal from that man again Kevin O'Brien and a super long range point from one of Passage's start players Seamus Forde. Unfortunately this was only a blip for Bishopstown. They quickly regained their composure and fired over 3 long range points. Passage regrouped and points from half back Billy O'Callaghan and centre forward John Cotter had Bishopstown on the ropes coming into the final 5 minutes. Passage missed a great chance of an equalizer and with it the game. Bisophstown rallied and finished the strongest scoring 2 more points. Best for Passage were full forward Kevin O'Brien, goalkeeper Damien Coleman who pulled off 2 great saves, Seamus Forde and half back Rory Ahern.

Fulltime Passage 1-8 Bishopstown 1-11
HT Passage 0-5 Bishopstown 1-6
Passage were up against a very good experienced Bishopstown side on Sunday morning. In the first half both sides found it hard to register scores. Both defences were on top and the physical exchanges were tough. Bishopstown opened the scoring in the 2nd minute with a well worked point. Passage replied in the 5th with a beauty of a point from the boot of veteran Kevin O'Brien.
