Sciath na Scol - Monkstown N.S. and Star of the Sea
Written by AdministratorThere is strong representation from Passage GAA Club's Under 11's/12's on the Monstown N.S. football team that have qualified for the final of their section for the first time by winning all 6 games in this seasons competition. There are 5 boys from the Passage club on the Monkstown team, Jack Lester, Jack Murphy, Josh Clarke, Will Fielding and Adam Hallissey along with David Hyland from the under 12's so best of luck to them in their final. Star of the Sea, Passage are also progressing well, drawing just one and winning all of their other games so far so hopefully they'll progress too with another strong representation of under 11's and 12's from our club. The girls from Star of the Sea are also looking good to make it through to the final stages. Well done to all involved with both schools.
May 7th 2011 - Boys trip to Croke Park
Written by AdministratorA wet 7:30am start for a group of 38 boys from the U10, U11, and U12 football teams and 12 adults saw them board a bus destined for Croke Park, with a stop on the way to showcase their football skills (the boys not the adults!!) After loading the bags onto the bus, taking our seats, and putting on the seat belts, we were on our way with John the driver at the helm of our trusty coach. We did well, getting past the tunnel before being asked, "Are we there yet?" It could have been a long trip!!, but the banter was good and the lads had a laugh, so the time flew.
It is a privilege for me to be chairman of Cumann An Phasáiste Juvenile section and to be part of such a dedicated committee. Bill Power (sec), Colin Lester (treas), Damian Taaffe (vice chairman), Tom Harrington (board delegate) and Kieran Harrington along with being on committee they are also involved in managing and coaching their respective teams.
