The second half began with Youghal again in the ascendancy adding 4 more unanswered points before Passage turned the game around with 2 fine goals from Ross McMahon and several more well taken frees from Anto Kidney. Youghal were 3 points down with 10 minutes to go and kept the pressure on with 2 more points, but Passage held firm to win by a single point and set up a semi-final meeting with Ballinora in Passage next weekend.

In general play Passage were well served by Dara Murphy who showed for every ball and made a huge contribution to the win. Liam Cotter also made a big difference when he came on in the second half. Overall Passage played below their best but can be very happy with a win over a good Youghal team.
