Feb 7th 2012 - Ladies Football/Camogie EGM - Future of Camogie in Passage GAA

Written by  Administrator

Very disappointed with the turn out at our Ladies Football/Camogie AGM last week. With over 100 girls playing football/camogie only 16 people in total showed up. This shows that either people have no interest in their local club or just too busy to attend. It has come to this, where we need to have an EGM on Feb 7th at 8pm in the club to decide if the club is going to have a Camogie section this coming season. We are asking all members and parents to attend to see what we can do together. The club has grown so much that we can not run it with the small amount of help that we have or without the commitment from the players. It would be a shame if Camogie was lost from the club after all we have achieved in a short space of time. We are asking people to help us in some way - eg. paperwork, registration, fundraising, supervising training (volunteer for 1hr a week only). We also need to confirm the interest from girls who want to play camogie for Passage so that we can decide on how to move this forward

Hope to see and hear from you our concerned Members and Parents.

Your Chairman of Ladies Football/Camogie club
Francis McEveney
