130 Years Old
Our club will be celebrating 130 years this year. A special launch night will be held at the Billy Cotter Pavilion on Friday 30th January when a special programme of events will be announced to honour our 130 years in the local community. We are asking all members of the public to attend on the night as our Chairman John O’Connor will officially launch our 130 years.
Our club has been a leading member of the community for many years and we are inviting the other organisations in the town to attend on the night. The event get under way at 7:30pm
County Medal Presentation
On January 25th we are delighted to be presenting County medals to our u15 footballers and also to our Minor/u18 Ladies Football team. It's a wonderful achievement for both teams, as County medals are hard earned and should be celebrated and treasured. The presentation to both teams will kick off at 4:30pm and we invite all families and Club Memebrs to come along and enjoy the celebrations.
Pasaiste OG
Pasaiste Og continues to train indoors for the winter months and their time of trainings and venue can be obtained by looking at www.passagewestgaa.com
Camogie
Our underage camogie has started to take off once again in the club, thanks to Dave Maxwell, Ann Forde, Brian Malony and helpers for their time and effort with these teams. It is hoped that in a few short years we will be competing in the various leagues within the county.

Come along to the Clubhouse on weekend’s to see your favourite team on the big screen while enjoying a few drinks with your friends.
The Christmas period saw a very busy clubhouse with a some very successful party’s taking place, Christmas morning saw the annual Christmas swim when our brave members battled with the cold weather to jump in at the deep end at the top quay. And then returned to the Clubhouse for some hot drinks.
Our Puc Fada on St Stephens Morning was once again a great success with well over 40 teams taking part. It was good to see a lot of the younger members taking part and enjoying the morning. Overall winners were Cian McCarthy , Niall Mc Carthy and Marc Howard.
Golf
Passage West GAA Golf Society outing held a very successful Christmas outing at Fernhill Golf Club on Sunday 28th December. Despite the cold weather a good number turned out with 28 teams of three taking part. After a very good days golf the winners were the Murphy combination Mick Murphy and his son Dr Greg , while David O’Connell also played well for the winners. Runners up were The Coughlan combination, Robert, Robert junior and John. third place went to Eugene Murphy, Sean Sheehan and Cathal Collins. After the presentation of prizes by organisers Tim Killen and Paddy Carroll a great night of music took place in the Pavilion.
Clothes & Toys Collection
At present a clothes and toys collection is taking place at the clubhouse. Clothes and Toys can be left at the clubhouse from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm

Sunday 25th Jan Junior A Football Mc Sweeny Cup Passage vrs Brian Dillons at Manning Park 11—30 am winners to play Delanys in the final Sunday 1st Feb
The new season proper will be starting on the second week in February (weather permitting) with a full list of Junior Football fixtures taking place.
Our Under 21 Football team are gearing up for the new season with games in the very successful Glenville competition. They had a very useful match with Carricg na bhFear at St Peters school pitch last Sunday. Playing some nice football on a very cold afternoon they ran out winners by 4—10 to 1—9.They will now travel to play Glenville or Mayfield in the quarter finals.
Membership
Membership is now due from all playing members and non playing members. This is a time of the year when there is considerable costs incurred on the club funds, ie team registration (1000 Euro per team) as well as Insurance of club premises and club grounds. Those monies are gathered from members both playing and non playing so it’s vital that all membership is renewed soon.
